Anthony John Paul Duclayan Rosaldo (born February 1, 1994), more popularly known as Anthony Rosaldo, is a Filipino singer, actor, host and a model. He was a finalist of The Clash Season 1 aired on GMA Network, winning 6th place in the competition in 2018. After the contest he signed an exclusive management contract with GMA Artist Center and a recording contract with GMA Music. He was then dubbed as “Kapuso Pop Rocker” and released the hit songs “Larawan Mo, “Maghintay Ka Lamang” and “Pwedeng Tayo”.

2016: entering showbiz[]

His TV debut was in 2016 when he joined the Eat Bulaga! segment “Spogify Feat. Singing Baes”, ^[1] a search for singing heartthrobs. After months of competing, he was selected as one of the 5 grand finalists who eventually became the show's newest boy group. In the same year, Anthony released his first single “I Would Give It All” under Ivory Music

2017: WCOPA and international concerts[]

In 2017, Anthony represented the Philippines in the world stage. He joined the 21st World Championships of Performing Arts 2017 in Hollywood, California. He brought home 1 gold and 1 bronze medal for singing and 2 gold and 2 silver medals for modeling.^[2][3][4] Because of the recognition and TV exposures, Anthony booked several local and international shows and concerts including one in Alberta, Canada ^[5] and one in Beirut, Lebanon.

2018: The Clash and being a “Kapuso”[]

In 2018 Anthony joined the very successful all-original reality singing competition on TV, “The Clash Season 1” on GMA-7 where he was one of the Grand Finalist.^{[6][7][8][9][10][11][12][13][14][15][16]} He then signed an exclusive management contract with GMA Artist Center and was given a recording contract under GMA Music.^{[17][18][19][20][21][22][23]}

2019: debut single, awards and major concert[]

His debut single “Larawan Mo” was released on February 6, 2019 and was well received by audiences. The single has made it to Twitter-trending topics and also topped iTunes Ph's charts for a week. ^{[24] [25] [26]}

The single's music video ^[27][28][29] was released starring several celebrities including GMA Network's leading lady Kris Bernal. “Larawan Mo” then became theme song for GMA's koreanovela, “Emperor; Ruler of The Mask”.^[30] Currently, “Larawan Mo” has over half a million streams on Spotify.

Continuously working hard on his craft, Anthony won Best New Male Singing Performer for the National Customers' Choice Awards 2019 in February 2019. ^[31]

His first major concert top billed with Kapuso leading Lady Mikee Quintos. “Revelation” was held on June 28, 2019 at The Music Museum. ^{[32] [33] [34] [35] [36] [37] [38] [39] [40] [41]}

Following the success of the sold-out concert, Anthony was awarded Best Male Concert Performer at the Best Choice Awards 2019. ^{[42] [43]}

On October 8 2019, Anthony released his 2nd single, “Maghintay Ka Lamang”, a revival which was originally sung by Ted Ito.^[44][45][46] The single climbed up the iTunes charts and placed 3rd for 2 consecutive days.^[47] “Maghintay Ka Lamang” was then used as theme song for GMA-7s biggest Koreanovela offering, “Sky Castle” which aired November 2019.

Anthony then renews his management contract with GMA Artist Center on November 2019 and remains a “Kapuso” up to present. ^{[23] [20] [48]}

2020: Pwedeng Tayo and Guillermo Award[]

Despite the struggles with the on-going pandemic, Anthony was able to release his 3rd single under GMA Music, “Pwedeng Tayo” penned by Davey Langit, Edwin Marollano, Jonathan Manalo and Vehnee Saturno on July 9,2020.^{[49][50][51][52]} On its release, “Pwedeng Tayo” made it to Itunes PH Top 10 charts.^[53] Anthony teamed up with Starstruck Season 7 Alumni Athena Madrid for Pwedeng Tayo's music video which was released on November 11, 2020.^[54][55]

Rosaldo was then hailed Most Promising Male Recording Artist ^{[56] [57] [58]} at the Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Foundation's 51st Box Office Entertainment Awards.
