Anwar Jibawi (Arabic: انور جباوي‎; born August 9, 1991) is a Palestinian-American Internet personality and dancer. He is an actor (starred in the short film Petting Scorpions) and comedian most notable for his comedy videos on video service YouTube[2] and previously on the Vine app.[3] He has over 6.7 million subscribers on YouTube and over 9.1 million followers on Instagram. Jibawi is managed by John Shahidi of Shots Studios.

Jibawi[4] mostly creates comedic content as a member of Shots Studios. He also played a role in a movie called Keys of Christmas and shared the screen with Rudy Mancuso, DJ Khaled and Mariah Carey.

Career[]

Jibawi started internet career on Vine.[5][6] He partnered with Shots Studios to create videos and launched his YouTube channel July 2016.[7] In January 2017, Jibawi helped launch Mike Tyson’s YouTube page and he and Tyson have frequently collaborated on one another’s channels.[8] Jibawi also had a role in the movie Keys of Christmas with Rudy Mancuso, Mariah Carey and DJ Khaled.[9] Jibawi is managed by John Shahidi of Shots Studios, a company that also produces his YouTube content.[10] He was invited by Dolce & Gabbana to walk in their Milan Men’s Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2018 show on June 17, 2017.[11]

In February 2018, Jibawi directed a music video for Anitta's Vai Malandra (Remix) by Alesso and KO:YU. The video featured Jibawi and friends dancing to the remix in a farm setting.[12]

Working alongside his Shots Studios co-stars Hannah Stocking, Lele Pons, and Rudy Mancuso he appeared in the company's Amigos comedy series.[13]

Working with comedic star Marlon Wayans, they created two YouTube videos, one for each of their channels, with production by Shots Studios.[14] Jibawi also featured wrestling legend Ric Flair in one of his recent videos titled "Best Excuse Ever".[15]

In November 2018, Jibawi directed the music video for Aitana (singer) and Lele Pons' Teléfono (Remix) which has reached over 35 million views on YouTube.[16]

In June 2018, Jibawi launched a new series, One Star with Anwar, on Instagram's new IGTV platform where he reviews terrible items found online shopping.[17]

Jibawi has produced sponsored videos working with companies such as Universal Studios Orlando and The Walking Dead.[18] He also appeared in a video for Brita water filters with basketball star Stephen Curry.[19]
