Appel (literally "apple") is a hamlet in the Dutch province of Gelderland.[1] It is located in the municipality Nijkerk, about 6 km southeast of the city, on the border with the municipality of Barneveld.[2]

According to the 19th-century historian A.J. van der Aa,[3] it had about 470 inhabitants in the middle of the 19th century, but it is not clear what area he included in this count.
