Mariana Barreiros Dos Santos Gonçalves (born 10 July 1999), better known for her stage name, April Ivy, is a Portuguese singer-songwriter.
Career[]
In February 2016 she released "Be Ok" as an independent artist, composing and performing the song, reaching the top of national radio airplay list, as well as the top of national Spotify, YouTube and iTunes charts. In sales, the single reached the top 100 of the national charts debuting and peaking in 97th.[citation needed]
In June 2016, she signed with Universal Music France.[1] In 15 July 2016, her song "Be Ok" was part of Portuguese television teen series "Massa Fresca" soundtrack.[2] In 7 August 2016 she performed at the Santa Casa Stage of the 2016 MEO Sudoeste.[3]
In 25 November 2016, her song "Shut Up" appeared on Portuguese telenovela "A Impostora" soundtrack.[4]
In April 2017 she was nominated for Best Newcomer in the 2017 Golden Globes (Portugal) ending up losing to young actress Beatriz Frazão in 21 May 2017.[citation needed]
In 5 August 2017 she performed at the main stage, MEO Stage, of the 2017 MEO Sudoeste.[5]
In 19 July 2019 she released her first album "game.of.love" which included her first six singles plus four new songs. The album was produced in RedMojo studios and edited by Warner Music Portugal.[6]
