Araiso stable (2021)

Araiso stable (荒磯部屋, Araiso-beya) is a stable of sumo wrestlers, one of the Nishonoseki group of stables. It broke off from Tagonoura stable by its founder, the 72nd yokozuna Kisenosato, and will officially open in August 2021.[1]

  • 2021-present: 16th Araiso (iin taigu toshiyori, the 72nd yokozuna Kisenosato)

  • Kimura Takanosuke (makushita gyōji, real name Satoru Ishimaru)

Location and access[]

The stable will built in Ami, Ibaraki, near Hitachino-Ushiku Station, and will open in Summer 2022; in the interim, the stable members will train at the University of Tsukuba.[1]
