Arianna Errigo (born 6 June 1988) is an Italian foil and sabre fencer. She won a silver in women's individual foil and a gold in the women's team foil at the 2012 Summer Olympics. She competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics, in Women's team foil, winning a bronze medal.[1]

Errigo is an athlete of the Centro Sportivo Carabinieri.[2]

Biography[]

In the women's individual foil at the 2012 Summer Olympics she denied Valentina Vezzali of her fourth successive gold medal in the competition by defeating her 15–12 in the semi-finals.[3] She went on to win the silver medal in the event, losing in extra time to Elisa Di Francisca.[4]

At the 2013 and 2014 World Championships, Errigo won 2 consecutive gold medals in the individual event.[5]

After the 2016 Summer Olympics, where she failed to medal, Errigo announced an interest in qualifying for both foil and sabre at the 2020 Summer Olympics.[6] Errigo eventually won a sabre silver in the Cancun event of the 2017–18 Fencing World Cup.[7]
