The Army Public School and College (Urdu: آرمی پبلک سکول اور کالج) is an English-medium school located in Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. It is one of the 146 school campuses established and managed by the Army Public Schools & Colleges System (APSACS). The school was established in 1992, and its student body grew within a two-year span after its founding. It became a part of the APSACS in 1994.[citation needed] It provides education with more emphasis on values. It is an affordable institution that provides international standard education.

2014 terrorist attack[]
The Army Public School was attacked by Tehrik-i-Taliban terrorists on 16 December 2014. The ensuing massacre inside the school killing 149 students, including approximately 132 student, and teachers[citation needed] Following the attack, Pakistani officials announced that the students killed in the school attack will serve as the namesake of more than 120 government schools across the capital city of Islamabad. The attack intensified the War in North-West Pakistan as the Pakistani military continued its counter-insurgency operations against militants operating in the region.
