Arun Firodia (born 1943) is an Indian businessman. He is the chairman of Kinetic Group,[1] India's leading manufacturers and exporters of two wheelers. Arun Firodia obtained his B.Tech with distinction in Electrical Engineering from IIT, Mumbai in 1965. He later went to US and obtained his M.S. in Electrical Engineering from MIT. He completed his M.S. in Management from Sloan School of Management.[2]

He was awarded the Padmashri, fourth highest civilian award of India, in 2012.[3][4][5][6]

Personal life[]

Arun Firodia is the son of late Shri. H.K. Firodia founder of Kinetic Engineering Limited, married to Jayshree Firodia who serves as director of Kinetic Engineering Limited. They have one son Ajinkya Firodia who has recently been appointed to the position of Managing Director of Kinetic Engineering Limited and three daughters Sulajja Firodia Motwani who is the current Joint Managing Director of Kinetic Engineering Limited, Vismaya Firodia who was the vice president of Kinetic Engineering Limited until she ventured into a start-up of her own and Kimaya Firodia Kelkar has made her own niche as a design professional abroad.
