Ascension Catholic High School is a private, Roman Catholic high school in Donaldsonville, Louisiana. It is the oldest Catholic school in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Baton Rouge

History[]

Ascension Catholic was established in 1845 as St. Vincent Institute by the Daughters of Charity.^[2]

ACHS is known for having one of the premier athletic programs in Louisiana having won state championships in Football, Girls' Basketball, Baseball, Softball, and Cross Country.^{[citation needed]}

Ascension Catholic High School has won 3 State Championships in Football. The Bulldogs football team has made 28 playoff appearances with 18 wins.^{[citation needed]} The Bulldogs win over Jake Delhomme's Teurlings Catholic (66-6) remains as one of the biggest margins of victory in the semi-final round of the LHSAA playoffs.^{[citation needed]}
