Auto Raja is a 1982 Tamil-language drama film, directed by K. Vijayan. The film stars Vijayakanth and Jaishankar .[1] The film was a remake of the 1980 Kannada movie of the same name.

The film was originally scheduled to be released on 14 January 1982, but due to some local conflicts it was released in March and it still made a grand entry.

The soundtrack was composed by Shankar–Ganesh and Maestro Ilaiyaraja composed one song. Except "Sangathil Paadatha" which was composed by Ilayaraja, rest of the songs were composed by Shankar Ganesh. A total of six songs were composed of which all the six were included in the soundtrack.[2] The song "Malare Ennenna" was reused from the track "Naliva Gulabi Hoove" from the original Kannada film. Ilayaraja's composition "Sangathil Paadaatha" reused from Malayalam song "Thumbi Vaa" remains one of his famous tracks.
