Azizol Abu Haniffah was a midfielder with Perak FA in Malaysia. He also former national football player.[1] In 1990, he captained Perak FA to win the inaugural competition of Malaysia FA Cup by beating Selangor FA 4–2. He was a midfielder for both Perak FA and Malaysia national football teams.

Azizol made his international debut in 1983 against Saudi Arabia at the age of 18.[2] He played 71 times and scored 8 goals for the Malaysia national football team.[3][4]

In 1991, Azizol was selected into the Asian Team of the Year - First XI by Asian Football Confederation (AFC).[5][6]

On 17 September 2014, FourFourTwo list him on their list of the top 25 Malaysian footballers of all time.[7][8]
