Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman University, Kishoreganj (Bengali: বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়) is a government financed public university of Bangladesh. On 24 January 2020 in regular cabinet meeting, chaired by prime minister, agreed in principle to the Acts for the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman University in Kishoreganj District.[1][2] Dr Z M Parvez Sazzad,[3] a professor at the Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE)[4] in Dhaka University,[5] will serve as the founding vice-chancellor of the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman University in Kishorganj for the next four years starting from 27 January 2021.[6]
