Barkaa
Barkaa (born 1995[1]) is a Malyangapa and Barkindji musician.[2] Born Chloe Quayle, she lived in the western Sydney suburb Merrylands during her childhood, where she was known for performing rap at high school. She entered rap competitions in Blacktown.[1] She takes her name from the Barkindji word for the Darling River.[3] Her music reflects her experiences with incarceration, child removal and addiction.[3]
Barkaa is currently signed to Bad Apples Music, founded by Briggs.[3]
