Barrios Rocks

The Barrios Rocks (

63°19′S 57°57′W / 63.317°S 57.950°W / -63.317; -57.950Coordinates: 63°19′S 57°57′W / 63.317°S 57.950°W / -63.317; -57.950) are a small group of rocks lying 1 nautical mile (2 km) west of Toro Point, Trinity Peninsula. The name "Islote Barrios" was given by the First Chilean Antarctic Expedition (1947–48) after General , minister of national defense who accompanied the (1948) to this area in the Transporter Presidente Pinto. Air photographs of this feature appear to show three small rocks closely juxtaposed.[1]
