Basanta Basnet (Nepali: बसन्त बस्नेत) is a Nepali journalist and writer. He is the editor-in-chief of Shilapatra online news portal since August 31, 2020.[1] He was the former editor of Nepal Magazine.[2] He has worked for various national dailies such as Kantipur, , Nagarik, etc.[3]
Books[]
He has published two books. His first book 72 ko Bismay was published on September 8, 2018.[4] The book is a political non-fiction about the 2015 Nepal earthquake and the events that followed after the promulgation of the constitution of Nepal in 2015 (2072 BS).[5][6]
His second book, Mahabhara is a novel set in eastern Nepal during the Nepalese Civil War.[7] It was published on January 8, 2022, by FinePrint Publication.[8]
