Battleship Promontory
Battleship Promontory (76°55′S 160°55′E / 76.917°S 160.917°ECoordinates: 76°55′S 160°55′E / 76.917°S 160.917°E) is a sandstone promontory which rises from the floor of Alatna Valley near its head, in Victoria Land, Antarctica. The name was suggested by , U.S. geologist who made stratigraphic studies in the valley in the 1960–61 season.
