Bay'at al-Imam

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Bay'at al-Imam (English: Oath of Allegiance to the Prayer Leader) is an Islamic organization that Abu Musab al-Zarqawi led while in prison in Jordan from 1996 to 1999.[1]

Tajik special services have said there may be links between Bay'at al-Imam, Bayat - a Tajik Islamic organization, and the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan, an organization affiliated with Al-Qaeda.[1]
