Bear Witness is the first studio album by Australian band I'm Talking. The album was released in August 1986[1] by Regular Records and peaked at No. 14 on the Australian Album Charts.[2]

The album yielded three singles and was certified platinum.[3][4]

At the 1986 Countdown Australian Music Awards the album was nominated for Best Debut Album.[5][6]

At the 1987 ARIA Music Awards Richard Alan, responsible for the album's cover, was nominated for 'Best Cover Artist'.

The band received considerable international interest and as a result I'm Talking undertook a 36-date UK tour supporting Five Star.

In October 2010, Bear Witness (1986) was listed in the book, 100 Best Australian Albums.[7] A compilation album containing songs from the 100 albums was released in November 2010, which included the band's track, "Trust Me" [8]

The album was re-released, with additional tracks, in March 2018.
