"Because They're Young" reached #2 on the UK Singles Chart.[4] In the US, it went to #4 on the Billboard Hot 100, and #17 on the R&B chart.[5]

- James Darren released a vocal version as a single in 1960. It went to #29 in the UK[6] and #4 in New Zealand.[7]
