In 2014, he was placed eighth in the Sochi Winter Olympics, had his first podium in World Cup in La Plagne, France and also became Junior World Champion in dual moguls.[3] In 2016, Ben was on the podium three times and finished third overall in the FIS World Cup series.[4] The season 2016–17 has been the most successful yet for Ben Cavet; he was on the podium six times in World Cup Moguls and finished 2nd overall.
