Bibliophile Princess (Japanese: 虫かぶり姫, Hepburn: Mushikaburi-hime) is a Japanese light novel series written by Yui and illustrated by Satsuki Shiina. It was serialized online between September 2015 and January 2022 on the user-generated novel publishing website Shōsetsuka ni Narō. It was later acquired by Ichijinsha, who has released six volumes since July 2016 under their Iris NEO label.

A manga adaptation with art by Yui Kikuta has been serialized via Ichijinsha's shōjo manga magazine Monthly Comic Zero Sum since August 2018. It has been collected in six tankōbon volumes. The light novels and manga are both licensed in North America by J-Novel Club. An anime television series adaptation by Madhouse is set to premiere in 2022.

Light novel[]

Written by Yui and illustrated by Satsuki Shiina, the series started serialization online on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website on September 13, 2015, and it ended on January 23, 2022. Ichijinsha acquired the series, and published the first volume in print under their Iris NEO label on July 1, 2016.[2] As of February 2022, six volumes have been released. The series is licensed in North America by J-Novel Club.[3]

Manga[]

A manga adaptation with art by Yui Kikuta began serialization in Ichijinsha's Monthly Comic Zero Sum magazine on August 28, 2018.[14] The first tankōbon volume was released on April 25, 2019.[15] As of February 2022, six volumes have been released. J-Novel Club is also publishing the manga in North America.[16]

Anime[]

An anime television series adaptation produced by Madhouse was announced on January 28, 2022. The series is directed by Tarou Iwasaki, with scripts written by Mitsutaka Hirota, and character designs by Mizuka Takahashi. It will premiere in 2022.[1]
