Bijairaghogarh was a princely state in India. It was disestablished due to its participation in the Indian Rebellion of 1857.[1]
History[]
Until 1826 Bijairaghogarh was a part of another princely state known as Maihar. Maihar was divided in that year to form Bijairaghogarh as a separate state. Bijairaghogarh's independence lasted only for a brief time as it participated in the unsuccessful Indian Rebellion of 1857 during the reign of its second ruler . In 1858 the state of Bijairaghogarh lapsed to the Government of India and ceased to exist as a separate polity.[1]
