Bio Fuel Systems
BFS Blue Enterprises is a wholly Spanish owned firm whose multi-patented, microalgae-based technology uses CO 2 emissions to produce crude oil and analytical-grade biotech & pharmaceutical products. It was formed in 2006 in eastern Spain after three years of research by scientists and engineers connected with the University of Alicante. Currently, an industrial-size pilot plant has been producing consistent yields with a process proven to produce a standardized quality of products in both an industrially scalable and commercially viable way. All while using and neutralizing CO2 emissions. Their system of bioconversion is about 400 times more productive than any other plant-based system producing oil or ethanol.[citation needed]
