Birds of Wales is a Canadian indie folk rock band based in Toronto.

Birds of Wales toured Europe five times[1] with everyone from Xavier Rudd[2] to Dragonette[3] to The Sadies, had their video for Cinderella on full rotation on MuchMoreMusic, and received extensive radio play across North America and the UK.

Tracks from Birds of Wales' first CD received significant airplay on Canadian commercial & college radio, and have been broadcast across North America on Sirius XM and Sirius Satellite Radio. My Lady in July[4] was the most played song on The Verge, Sirius XM's music station, in June 2006. Birds of Wales also earned the attention of fans in Europe, releasing their Fall of the 49 CD in the UK and Spain on Invisible Hands Music (Thomas Dolby, The Jam) following five successful European tours over 16 months. The first single from this disc, Cinderella Has Nothing on You,[5] was featured on a compilation CD, 560,000 copies of which were distributed throughout Ireland. The video for the song also was on full rotation on MuchMoreMusic in Canada.

Birds of Wales released their first full-length album, Belgravia Hotel, on Sparks Music/Emi in Canada on April 13, 2010. The first single off the record is the song, Uninteresting.[6]

Birds of Wales' lead singer, Morgan Cameron Ross,[7] is also the front man of band Bellwoods, and a songwriter known for writing for/with such artists as Ryan Cabrera, Bobby Bazini,[8] Sarah Slean, Hawksley Workman, and Ron Sexsmith. Ben Standage is also a member of the band Down I Go.
