Blizzard Peak
Blizzard Peak (84°38′S 164°8′E / 84.633°S 164.133°ECoordinates: 84°38′S 164°8′E / 84.633°S 164.133°E) is, at 3,375 metres (11,070 ft), the highest peak in the Marshall Mountains, Queen Alexandra Range, standing 4 nautical miles (7 km) northwest of Mount Marshall and 2 nautical miles (4 km) southeast of Blizzard Heights, from which they are separated by a broad snow col It was so named by the Northern Party of the New Zealand Geological Survey Antarctic Expedition (1961–62) because a blizzard prevented them from reaching it for several days.[1]
