Block 216 is the working name of an under construction high-rise building in downtown Portland, Oregon, United States. The 35-story building will replace the Alder Street food cart pod between 9th and 10th Avenues and Alder and Washington Streets. Block 216 will be 460 feet (140 m) tall, becoming Portland's fifth-tallest structure.[1]

The Alder food pod, Portland's largest, closed in June 2019.[2][3] The groundbreaking ceremony was held on July 12, 2019.[4]

Block 216 was designed by Portland-based architecture firm, and, when completed, will be the largest building by volume constructed in Portland since the U.S. Bancorp Tower.[5]

The building will house a Ritz-Carlton hotel named Ritz-Carlton, Portland,[6] as well as have office space and condominium units. The Ritz-Carlton will be the first in the Pacific Northwest.
