Blue Swan Records is an American record label based in Sacramento, California.[1][2] The label was founded by American musician and Dance Gavin Dance guitarist Will Swan and has hosted a variety of post-hardcore, metalcore, and progressive rock bands. In 2021, the label signed a publishing contract with BMG Rights Management and partnered with Rise Records.

The label's first release was the debut studio album Living Creatures by Stolas, released on March 14, 2013. The most recent release, Eidola's fourth studio album, The Architect, was released on September 17, 2021.

Background[]

Blue Swan Records was launched by Dance Gavin Dance lead guitarist Will Swan in early 2013. Swan serves as CEO and founder. Sergio Medina, the guitarist for the bands Royal Coda and Eidola, serves as Vice President. The label coined the term "swancore", referring to the dynamic and technical playing style which is characteristic of the bands on its roster.[3] On February 18, 2021, it was announced that Blue Swan Records had partnered with Rise Records.[4]
