Brahmavidya: Transcendental I is the fifth studio album by Singaporeandeath metal band Rudra. The album was released in Asia on April 15, 2009 through Trinity Records, and in Europe on July 6, 2009 via Vic Records. It is the second installment in the Brahmavidya trilogy started by its predecessor, 2005's Brahmavidya: Primordial I. Brahmavidya: Transcendental I is the first album to feature guitarist Devan, who joined the band in 2007 after the departure of Kannan. Not long after the release of the album, in June 2009, Rudra also parted ways with guitarist Selvam who had played with Rudra on their previous four albums. He was replaced not long after by Vinod. A music video was shot for Hymns From the Blazing Chariot.
