The British Podcast Awards were established in 2017 to reward and reflect the burgeoning podcast productions in Great Britain. The awards combine selections by an industry panel with public vote awards such as the Listeners Choice award.[1] In 2021, readers of the weekly Great British Podcasts email will create the shortlist for the new Best International podcast.[2]
2017[]
More than 50 independent judges from the audio and media industry supported the British Podcast Awards. Chaired by Helen Zaltzman, the judges included Miranda Sawyer. Hosted by Olly Mann presenters on the night included Edith Bowman, Grace Dent and James Cooper from My Dad Wrote a Porno.[3]
