Bronagh Waugh (born 6 October 1982) is a Northern Irish actress. She is best known for portraying the role of Cheryl Brady in the Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks.[1] She has also appeared in dramas The Fall (2013–2016) and Unforgotten (2018).
At the 2010 British Soap Awards, Waugh was nominated for awards for Best Newcomer, Best Actress and Best Comedy Performance for her portrayal as Cheryl.[2] She was also nominated for two National Television Awards.[3]
Personal life[]
Her father is Canadian, and she has Canadian citizenship. She has been an advocate for same-sex marriage in Northern Ireland.[4][5] On 5 May 2021, Waugh gave birth to a son which is her first child.[6]
