Buchalter is an American law firm based in Los Angeles in the U.S. state of California. Established in 1948, the firm has approximately 350[1] attorneys in offices located in the Western United States.[2]

History[]

The firm was founded in 1947 as Buchalter, Nemer, Fields & Younger by Irwin R. Buchalter and others.[3][4] Buchalter died in 1994.[3] In September 2019, the firm purchased Ater Wynne of Portland, Oregon.[2][5] In 2019, Buchalter also launched a cannabis practice. Buchalter continues to push for a national reach “as a full-service firm with diverse practice areas that can weather all parts of an economic cycle,” firm CEO Adam Bass told Bloomberg Law.
