Buddleja davidii 'Camkeep' (selling name Camberwell Beauty) is a cultivar raised by Elizabeth Keep at the East Malling Research Station in Kent, England.[1] The shrub was accorded the Royal Horticultural Society Award of Garden Merit (record 682) in 2010.[2]
Description[]
Camberwell Beauty is a small shrub resembling a dwarf 'Dartmoor', growing to a height of 1.5 m. 'Camkeep' is distinguished by its profuse deep-purple inflorescences comprising multiple, branched panicles 15–20 cm in length, which appear in summer and persist until autumn. The foliage is unremarkable, the leaves medium green and of average size for the species.[3]
Cultivation[]
Camberwell Beauty is commonly cultivated in North America and Europe. In the UK, it is included in the NCCPG National Collection held by Longstock Park Nursery near Stockbridge in Hampshire. Hardiness: RHS H5.
