Bugs Bunny's Looney Christmas Tales is a 1979 animated Christmas television special featuring Bugs Bunny and other Looney Tunes characters in three newly created cartoon shorts with seasonal themes.[1] It premiered on CBS on November 27, 1979.[2] Audio and a clip from the special notably is in a scene in the movie Lethal Weapon where Martin Riggs tries to commit suicide.

"The Fright Before Christmas" was aired as part of the MeTV Christmas special titled "MeTV's Super Colossal Cartoon Christmas" that was hosted by characters from Toon In with Me and Svengoolie.
