Burmester Dome

Burmester Dome (

83°22′S 50°56′W / 83.367°S 50.933°W / -83.367; -50.933Coordinates: 83°22′S 50°56′W / 83.367°S 50.933°W / -83.367; -50.933) is an ice-capped dome rising to 2,095 metres (6,870 ft) in west-central Saratoga Table, Forrestal Range, in the Pensacola Mountains. At the suggestion of United States Geological Survey party leader , it was named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names after , geologist, Western Washington University, Bellingham, who worked in the Forrestal Range, 1978–79.
