Butschliellaceae is a possible family of cryptomonads proposed by Pierre Bourrelly in 1970, to include both the previously described and his newly discovered genus .[1] Neither Butschiellaceae, nor its constituent genera, have been included in recent Cryptophyte phylogenies.
