C.I.D. 909 is a 1967 Bollywood film starring Feroz Khan & Mumtaz in lead roles.[1][2] O. P. Nayyar has composed the music for the film.

Plot[]

A professor has developed a unique formula that can be both- constructive and destructive- which he intends to present in an international conference for world peace. Vasco steals the formula but realizes that it is in code language and can only be decoded either by Professor or his daughter Reshma.

Then starts the series of kidnap and chase. Feroz Khan plays a desi version of James Bond.

Acclaimed as one of very interesting movie of 60's.

The film was featured in Avijit Ghosh's book, 40 Retakes: Bollywood Classics You May Have Missed. He described the film as "low budget but innovative and entertaining."

Trivia[]

  • The film shows some unique gadgets. In one scene, Helen is shown using sunglasses with ear and mouthpiece, a similar gadget was developed in current time by Google and Bose
  • Firoz Khan carries a pistol very similar to the famous Berretta carried by James Bond.
  • Feroz Khan always loved to drive fancy cars in all his movies. In this, he drives Jaguar XK140 sports convertible.
