Candacia Worthingtoni is a species of copepod from the genus Candacia first described by George Grice in 1981 under the synonym Paracandacia Worthingtoni.[1] The copepod gets its namesake from the then soon retiring Scientist Emeritus Valentine Worthington, as a tribute to his contributions to the field of physical oceanography.[2]
