The Canton City School District is a public school district serving students in Canton, Ohio. In the 2014–2015 academic year its student enrolment was 9,087.[1] The district also serves small sections of Canton and Plain townships, as well as the village of Meyers Lake.

- Allen Elementary School – The original Ira M. Allen School was built in 1915 and named for a prominent educator from Eastern Ohio who died in 1897 after serving 30 years as a member of the county board of school examiners. Miss Elizabeth Stough served as the first principal of the building that housed grades kindergarten through eight.[citation needed]
