Capila penicillatum, the fringed dawnfly,[2][3] is a species of hesperid butterfly found in India and Southeast Asia.

Range[]

The butterfly occurs in India from Meghalaya (Khasi hills) eastwards to Canton, north Vietnam and Hainan.[3][4]

The type locality is the Khasi Hills.[1]

Status[]

It is very rare.[4]
