Capila penicillatum, the fringed dawnfly,^[2]^[3] is a species of hesperid butterfly found in India and Southeast Asia.

Range[]

The butterfly occurs in India from Meghalaya (Khasi hills) eastwards to Canton, north Vietnam and Hainan.^[3]^[4]

The type locality is the Khasi Hills.^[1]

It is very rare.^[4]
