Carex scirpoidea is a species of sedge belonging to the family Cyperaceae.^[1] It is dioecious, with male and female flowers on separate plants.^[2]

Its native range is Norway (), Siberia, Russian Far East, Greenland,^[3]^[4] Subarctic America to Western and Northern USA.^[1]
