Carlson Island is a rocky island 2 kilometres (1 nmi) long and 300 metres (1,000 ft) high, lying in Prince Gustav Channel 6 kilometres (3 nmi) southeast of Pitt Point, Trinity Peninsula. It was discovered in 1903 by the Swedish Antarctic Expedition under Otto Nordenskiöld, who named it for , one of the chief patrons of the expedition.[1]
