Carolin von Anstetten (née Mohr) is a fictional character from the German soap opera Verbotene Liebe (Forbidden Love). The character was played by Jutta Fastian from January 1999 to December 15, 2000 and in a special guest appearance to the 10th anniversary of the show on January 20, 2005.[1]

Carolin appears as a mysterious art dealer at Friedenau Castle on New Year's Eve in 1998. Henning von Anstetten falls for her. Carolin becomes a personal art dealer to Henning's father Christoph, stealing paintings to pay for an operation to save the life of her younger sister Isabell. Carolin realizes she loves Henning and tells him the truth. After they marry, their relationship is strained due to Henning working long hours. Carolin and Christoph have an affair and she gets pregnant but isn't sure about the baby's paternity. Henning wants to share the news at a celebration for the 333rd anniversary of Friedenau. Sebastian Leutner, Isabell's boyfriend, finds out about the affair and tries to blackmail Carolin, who gives in to save her marriage. Christoph's ex-wife Clarissa reveals the truth about the baby's father, which everyone believes is an attempt to humiliate Christoph in public. When Carolin tells Henning the truth, he leaves her and severs ties with his father.

Sebastian threatens Carolin with a gun; during the ensuing fight he gets shot and dies. Clarissa hides the gun with Carolin's fingerprints, but Carolin is later arrested for Sebastian's murder. Clarissa blackmails Christoph into remarrying her to prove Carolin's innocence, which he secretly does. Clarissa clears Carolin with her statement and Carolin returns to Friedenau, shocked. Clarissa blackmails Christoph into staying with her; distraught, he commits suicide. Carolin blames Clarissa, who attends therapy to address her guilt.

Henning attempts to return to Carolin, which she rejects, saying she really loves Christoph. Carolin leaves Friedenau without telling anyone. Months later, she writes Isabell a letter after giving birth to a baby boy named Aaron.

In January 2005, Carolin is seen at an airport with twins—two girls—but without Aaron.
