Reception[]

Catch the Fair One holds a 95% approval rating on review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, based on 21 reviews, with a weighted average of 7.40/10.[10]

Wendy Ide of Screen International wrote "This is not the kind of action film which is coated in the glossy patina of invincibility".[11]

Following its Tribeca Film Festival screening, Screen Rant's Mae Abdulbaki wrote "Starring boxing champion Kali Reis in a story she developed with writer-director Josef Kubota Wladyka, Catch the Fair One is strongest in action mode".[12]

Nick Schager of The Daily Beast praised the film for its "portrait of white men exploiting Native American women for profit and sexual gratification", adding that "[it] isn't lost on the film..."[13]

According to David Ehrlich of IndieWire "[t]here isn't much for Catch the Fair One to find at the end of the line, but it looks for its invisible women - indigenous and otherwise - with the urgency of someone who knows what seeing them would actually mean".[14]
