Central District (Khalkhal County)
The Central District of Khalkhal County (Persian: بخش مرکزی شهرستان خلخال) is a district (bakhsh) in Khalkhal County, Ardabil Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 64,037, in 16,600 families.[1] The District has one city: Khalkhal. The District has three rural districts (dehestan): Khanandabil-e Gharbi Rural District, Khanandabil-e Sharqi Rural District, and Sanjabad-e Sharqi Rural District.
