Central District (Malekan County)
The Central District of Malekan County (Persian: بخش مرکزی شهرستان ملکان) is a district (bakhsh) in Malekan County, East Azerbaijan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 77,132, in 19,482 families.[1] The District has one city: Malekan. The District has three rural districts (dehestan): Gavdul-e Gharbi Rural District, Gavdul-e Markazi Rural District, and Gavdul-e Sharqi Rural District.
