Centre for Young Musicians

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Since 1970, talented young musicians have come to London’s Centre for Young Musicians’ Saturday centre for high quality, progressive music training.

A division of the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, CYM is focused on providing training in an inclusive, vibrant and stimulating environment. Because we believe in learning from the best, all our teachers are experienced and respected performers working in the music profession.

More than 400 students between the ages of 5 and 18 take part in a diverse range of programmes, whether it’s classical, jazz, gamelan, songwriting, folk or musical theatre. Find more about all of the options on our website.

Safeguarding is at the forefront of all CYM’s activities and you can read our full policy on our website.

The Centre is supported by the Foundation for Young Musicians and the Friends of CYM , who both raise invaluable funds for CYM.

There are also regional CYM Saturday Centres in Norwich, Taunton, Peterborough, and Saffron Walden.
