Charlie Martin McNeill (born 9 September 2003) is an English footballer who plays as a centre-forward for Manchester United.

Early life[]

Born in Droylsden,[3] McNeill started his career with Manchester United, before leaving for city rivals Manchester City in 2014.[4][5][6] While with The Citizens, McNeill scored over 600 goals at youth level.[7]

Growing up, McNeill supported Manchester United.[8][9]

In 2020, Manchester United agreed a deal for McNeill worth a reported £750,000.[10][11]

He continued his prolific form that made him a highly regarded prospect at Manchester City, scoring 24 goals in 21 games in his first season with the Manchester United U18 squad.[12][13]

In March 2021, McNeill apologised on social media platform Instagram for comments he made about rivals Liverpool when asked about a potential FA Youth Cup clash with the Merseyside team.[14][15]

McNeill has a contract with German brand Adidas, which could reportedly rise to a value of £1 million.[7]
