Chirag Chandrashekhar Shetty (born 4 July 1997) is an Indian badminton player.[2][3] At the 2018 Commonwealth Games, Shetty and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy played a crucial role in earning India the historic mixed team gold medal where they also won the men's doubles silver.[1][4] The duo have become the first men's doubles pair from India to be ranked inside the top 10.[5]
Career[]
In 2021, Shetty and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy lost to Indonesian duo of Mohammad Ahsan and Hendra Setiawan in the second round to crash out of the 2020 Yonex Thailand Open.[6] In July, he and Rankireddy competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics, but still was eliminated in the group stage after winning 2 matches out of 3.[7]

The BWF World Tour, which was announced on 19 March 2017 and implemented in 2018,[8] is a series of elite badminton tournaments sanctioned by the Badminton World Federation (BWF). The BWF World Tours are divided into levels of World Tour Finals, Super 1000, Super 750, Super 500, Super 300 (part of the HSBC World Tour), and the BWF Tour Super 100.[9]
