From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Choosing Children is a 1985 American documentary by Debra Chasnoff, filmed with her partner at the time, Kim Klausner.[1][2][3] It was a film about lesbian mothers and their families.[4]

The film showcased six families with lesbian mothers, whose children were brought into the family through adoption, donor insemination, foster parenting, and previous relationships.[2] It helped launch a profound cultural shift regarding same-sex parenting and parenting in the LGBTQ community.[1][2][3][5]
