Choujin X (Japanese: 超人X) is a Japanese action, supernatural manga series written and illustrated by Sui Ishida.[3] It has been serialized on Shueisha's Tonari no Young Jump website since May 2021 with irregular serialization.

Synopsis[]

Azuma Higashi,[Jp. 1] who is a popular boy has great fighting skills, a strong sense of justice and also he always gets good grades in his class. He has a friend whose name is Tokio Kurohara,[Jp. 2] who is the complete opposite of Azuma. He doesn't listen in class and is also a bystander when Azuma fights. They might be different, but their bond is very strong. They live in Yamato Prefecture, where Choujins have almost destroyed the district. Choujins are humans with supernatural abilities. When they are returning home, they encountered a Choujin who threatens to kill them. With no other way of escaping, the two decided to become Choujins.

Publication[]

The manga, which is written and illustrated by Sui Ishida, began serialization on Shueisha's Tonari no Young Jump website on May 10, 2021.[4] It was first announced in November 2020 on Ishida's Twitter account.[5] In April 2021, Ishida revealed drafts of the series' characters.[6][7][8] On May 8, 2021, the series' logo was revealed.[9]

The series is simultaneously published on Viz Media's website in English[4] and Shueisha's Manga Plus online platform in English, Indonesian, Portuguese, Spanish[10] and Russian[11] with irregular serialization.[12]
